In the last few months, there have been reports about the former Duchess of York being in a whole host of different places. She was only seen two times in the last few months of 2025, once when she was leaving Royal Lodge in September and once in December when her granddaughter was baptized.

But the mystery of where Fergie had been staying since she and her ex were evicted from their home continued. Reports indicated she was in the UAE for a time, then in several wellness retreats and even staying with a friend, Priscilla Presley. Recently, there were even reports she was visiting Andrew at his temporary home in Wood Farm and was being “smuggled in and out.”

According to RadarOnline the “disappeared ex-duchess” has been staying in Northern Ireland, at a luxury spa in Donegal. She has reportedly not been there the whole time, moving through locations constantly amid reports that she’s paranoid people are out to get her.

“Northern Ireland has become a key refuge in what people are jokingly calling the case of the ‘disappeared ex-duchess.’ It offers exactly what Sarah Ferguson seems to be seeking – privacy, distance, and the ability to move without constant scrutiny,” a source told the outlet.

“Her time in Northern Ireland is not accidental – it reflects a conscious decision to step back and regroup. In the context of everything that’s happened, from Andrew’s situation to her own past associations, it makes sense that she would choose somewhere so rural and discreet.”

There has been no confirmation of where Fergie will live next, only reports that she will not be staying with Andrew or with her daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.

A source said, “What makes the narrative Fergie has vanished so compelling is that it reflects a real shift in her life. She’s no longer operating in the same public-facing way, and Northern Ireland is part of that story – a place where she can step away from everything and remain out of sight.”

This comes after recent reports from the Daily Mail that Fergie has been on a “secret sofa-surfing world tour”, staying with a “succession of discreet, wealthy friends.” And according to one friend who has been in contact with her, she looks “dishevelled”, and “hasn’t been taking care of her roots or keeping up with her Botox.”

Then there’s the paranoia. “She really is low. She seems nervy,” the friend said. “She has three phones and she goes cycling through them because she’s afraid that she might be being tracked. She is convinced that a lot of people wish her harm.”

A source told Rob Shuter’s “Naughty But Nice” Substack last month that she has been purposefully laying low since Andrew’s arrest. “She has gone into the fire,” the insider said. “This isn’t a holiday. It’s survival. She will be arrested next if she returns to the UK.” The source continued, “It’s only a matter of time — it’s inevitable.”
